Inflammable substance hurled at Hindu Munnai functionary's house
VELLORE: An inflammable substance was reportedly hurled at the house of a functionary of the Hindu Munnani (HM) at Sathuvachari during the early hours of Sunday. The incident created a flutter in the vicinity.

K Magesh, in his police complaint, stated that at 3.30am, he and his wife heard a sound. After some time, the smell of petrol emanated, he said.
“Sensing something wrong, I came out of the house and found kerosene splashed on his two-wheeler and the entrance. There were also wick and pieces of broken liquor bottle found scattered between the front gate and the main door of the house,” he said.
A plastic bag of a garment showroom from Ambur was also found in the ditch, he added.
Magesh alerted his personal security officer who was sleeping in a nearby house. He immediately alerted the local police station and the control room, said Magesh.

Superintendent of Police P Pakkalavan said they are conducting a detailed inquiry to find out who was behind the incident.
