TRICHY: The management of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Trichy on Wednesday announced the indefinite closure of the institute as talks between the students and the officials of Anna University (Trichy) remained inconclusive.
The students have been boycotting classes since Friday demanding recruitment of teaching staff, a permanent campus and change of mentorship from Ann University (Trichy) to NIT Trichy.
The indefinite closure order was pasted on the notice board of the hostel, and students were forced to vacate the premises in the afternoon.
