IAS officials transferred

CHENNAI: The state government effected a major bureaucratic reshuffle by transferring eight IAS officials on Friday.
P Rama Mohana Rao, principal secretary, social welfare and nutritious meal programme, is posted as principal secretary, agriculture department and agriculture production commissioner.
M P Nirmala, commissioner, social welfare is posted as secretary, animal husbandry, dairying and fisheries department.C Muthukumaraswamy, who was holding this post earlier, is transferred and posted as commissioner of land reforms.
A Sukumaran, commissioner of fisheries and MD, Tamil Nadu Fisheries Development Corporation is posted as secretary, social welfare and nutritious meal programme.
K Sellamuthu is the new director of fisheries and MD of the fisheries corporation.
R Vijaykumar, chairman of Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation will also function as its MD.
R Vasuki is posted as director of social welfare, D Uthirakkumaran as director of small savings and Harmander Singh as industries commissioner and director of industries and commerce.
