Governor speaking like rep of political party: Sellur Raju
Chennai: Some “politically motivated” statements by Tamil Nadu governor R N Ravi are not acceptable, but at the same time the Tamil Nadu government should refrain from locking horns with him for the welfare of the people, former AIADMK minister Sellur K Raju said on Friday.
After inspecting the venue for the AIADMK conference in Madurai to be held on August 20, Raju told reporters it wasn’t clear if the governor was making the statements on his own or reacting to statements.
“The governor is speaking like a representative of a political party,” the former minister said.
But as nothing can move without the governor’s consent, it is better if the state government did not get into trouble with him, for the sake of the welfare of the people, he said.
