Gold, diamond jewellery missing from singer Vijay Yesudas’s home in Chennai

CHENNAI: Gold and diamond jewellery, weighing around 60 sovereigns, was missing from the house of playback singer and actor Vijay Yesudas in Chennai. He suspected the role of his housemaid in the theft.
The Abiramapuram crime wing police registered a case and began inquiries.
Vijay, the son of veteran playback singer K J Yesudas, lives in Abiramapuram Third Street.
A few weeks ago, actor Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya filed a police complaint stating that gold and diamond jewellery and other valuables were missing from her house. The Teynampet police arrested her housemaid Eswari and car driver Venkatesan and recovered around 143 sovereigns of gold jewellery, 30 gram of diamond jewellery, four kg of silver ornaments and a land document from Eswari's house.
