Chennai: A 38-year-old Puducherry man, on a business visit to Chennai, was pulled out of a car while he was chatting with a woman and stabbed multiple times by a gang in broad daylight and in full public view in Ashok Nagar.
The victim, A Prakash, kept crying for help and bled to death before police could arrive. Police said that Prakash had parked his car on Ashok Nagar 4th Avenue and was talking with his girlfriend Suganya inside the car when a four-member gang arrived on two-wheelers. They surrounded him, pulled him out of the car, and began attacking him. As the man, bleeding profusely from stomach wounds, cried out for help, some onlookers offered him water.
The Ashok Nagar police moved him to ESI hospital in KK Nagar, where he was declared dead. Police have arrested three people—Suganya, 37, her husband Dhananchezhiyan, 42, and their friend Gunasundari, 27.
Suganya and Prakash were schoolmates and had been involved in an affair. When Gunasundari learned about Prakash's involvement with Suganya, she informed Dhananchezhiyan, who then, along with his friends, confronted and murdered Prakash.TNN
