, is the latest one to join the list of celebs from the sporting circle to become an author. Today, he launched his first book ‘Finding Gaps – Transferable skills to be the best you can be’ at a mall in Velachery. While it was a formal event he also interacted with fans at the event. In fact, on Thursday, he spent almost an hour at Starmark, where he interacted and signed the books for
cricket
fans.
Simon, who is a five-time ICC Umpire of the Year awardee, had an illustrious career. According to a press release, in this book, he shares his cricketing experiences and talks about soft skills that can be used by anyone in any vocation.
Simon, who retired in 2012, was also a part of the ICC’s Elite Panel of Umpires. Later, he took over as the ICC’s Umpire Performance and Training Manager, and continued in that role till September 2016. While cricket is still close to his heart, he travels around the globe on a different role – he gives talks at business institutions and also train executives on leadership skills. Simon is now settled in his hometown in New South Wales.
