Film producers battle it out

CHENNAI: Following a complaint by Kaavalan' producer Romesh Babu, the film's co-producer Sakthi Chidambaram on Thursday met city police commissioner J K Tripathy and filed a counter-complaint.
According to Sakthi Chidambaram, who came with his counsel P Jerome and two others to meet the commissioner, Romesh Babu enrolled him as a co-producer for Kaavalan' after collecting Rs 10 crore.When the project ran into trouble just before its release, Babu told the court that he would return the money to Chidambaram after the release. Even after the release, Babu hadn't returned the money, he said.The complaint was forwarded to the assistant commissioner of police concerned.
