Expedite T Nagar pedestrian plaza work, Chennai Corporation commissioner tells officials

CHENNAI: Greater Chennai Corporation commissioner D Karthikeyan on Friday instructed officials to expedite work on a pedestrian plaza at T Nagar so that it could be completed much before the April 2019 deadline.
The commissioner and other officials inspected the work. He instructed officials to execute the work without causing hardships to shop owners.He asked them to ensure quality of work.
The work on the Rs 33.80crore pedestrian plaza began in May .
The pedestrian plaza will have a play area, smart toilets, LED streetlights, fountains and benches.
