EVKS Elangovan son Everaa Thirumahan MLA dies in Erode

ERODE: Erode East Congress MLA Everaa E Thirumahan, who is the son of former Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president E V K S Elangovan, died of a cardiac arrest on Wednesday. He was 46.

According to the family members, Thirumahan developed a chest pain around 12.30pm. "He was struggling to breathe," said S Vijayabaskar, PA to the MLA.

The family members rushed him to a private hospital in Erode. "He died before reaching the hospital. Doctors confirmed that he was brought dead," he added.

Elangovan was in Chennai when his son died. “He is coming to Erode,” Vijayabaskar said.
