Engg firm Ciklum acquires Infogen eyeing global reach

Chennai: Ciklum, a digital experience engineering firm based in London and Chennai has acquired digital engineering services firm Infogen that is headquartered in the United States with India centres in Pune and Bengaluru. The financial details of the deal remain undisclosed. With this deal, Ciklum aims to make inroads into the North American market and expands delivery footprint across India. While pre-acquisition Ciklum had about 10% of their revenue from the US market, it anticipates this to go up to 20% for the combined entity.

Infogenhas a strong delivery footprint in India that specialises in augmented and virtual reality, among other technologies. Infogen CEO Sanjeev Kuwadekar, will continue at Ciklum. “The combination brings together complementary capabilities to drive greater results . By aligning with Infogen, we operate from a stronger collective operational footprint and with technological advancements,” Raj Radhakrishnan, CEO of Ciklum, told TOI. “We aim to invest $40-$50 million in the Indian market , and this includes plans to double our headcount here,” he added. Backed by majority shareholder Recognize (investment firm co-founded by Cognizant fame Francisco D’Souza), Ciklum has a global team of over 4,000 engineers, design specialists, and others, and serves over 250 clients globally. In India, the company has employees primarily in the roles of software engineering, quality assurance and UX/UI.
