Eight youths held for doing bike stunts

Chennai: Eight youths, who performed bike stunts on the road in Ambattur and uploaded them on social networking sites, were arrested by Ambattur police on Monday night.
The arrested were identified as Abishek, 20, of Thirumalai Priya Nagar, Rajesh, 20, and Jagadeevan Ram, 21, of Oragadam, Madhan Kumar, 20, Jayanth, 18, Jeevan Sherin, 19, Jaffer, 19 and Vishwa, 18.
Police, who found the video going viral on social media, identified the youths, collected the registration number of the vehicles and nabbed all eight of them.
The youths told police that they performed stunts as part of new year celebrations and posted on social media to get likes. They were warned to refrain from performing such stunts again as they were putting their lives at risk. Six bikes that were used for the stunts were seized.tnn
