Eight held for holding cockfight in Tamil Nadu
TIRUPATTUR: Eight people were arrested on charges of holding a cockfight in a village near Tirupattur on Tuesday.
The arrested people were granted station bail and let off with a warning.
The issue came to light after videos of cockfight held behind a temple in Aneri village near Tirupattur were shared widely in social media.
Tirupattur taluk police swung into action and traced eight people who held the cockfight and arrested them following an order from SP Shreya Gupta.
