Edappadi K Palaniswami is indulging in disgusting politics: Tamil Nadu law minister

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu law minister S Regupathy on Tuesday said AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami is indulging in disgusting politics.
In a statement, Regupathy said, "Palaniswami is speaking about the Anna University rape issue on a daily basis just to show his presence in Tamil Nadu politics. By speaking about the issue repeatedly, Palaniswami is indulging in disgusting politics."
Regupathy said Palaniswami has a sadist mindset. "Unable to tolerate women complaining boldly in the Dravidian model regime, Palaniswami's actions are causing distress to the complainants. Palaniswami's actions show his sadist mentality of taking pleasure in harassing others. It seems that Palaniswami is planning to create fear among women."
The law minister said Palaniswami was spreading rumours despite the Chennai police commissioner explaining that police were not responsible for the FIR leak and only a technical glitch on the part of the National Informatics Centre (NIC) of the Union govt was responsible for the leak.
Meanwhile, the CPM demanded an investigation against the NIC for the FIR leak. "New criminal laws came into force in July, and there was no leak at that time. There is suspicion about how the FIR of this case alone got leaked. A case should be registered against the NIC, and that should be investigated," CPM state secretary K Balakrishnan said in a statement.
