PORT BLAIR: The
Andaman Islands experienced a magnitude 4.1 earthquake on Wednesday morning, as reported by the National Center for Seismology. The tremors occurred around 7:53am.
As per the data from the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake's epicenter was located at a latitude of 12.66 and a longitude of 93.02, with a depth of 10km.
"Earthquake of Magnitude:4.1, Occurred on 10-01-2024, 07:53:49 IST, Lat: 12.66 & Long: 93.02, Depth: 10 Km, Location: AndamanIslands, India," read a post on the official NCS handle on X.
Earlier this week, the Talaud Islands in Indonesia experienced tremors with a magnitude of 6.7.
According to data from the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake occurred during the night between Tuesday, January 9, at a depth of 80km.
