Duo attacks Chennai cab driver

The incident happened on Saturday evening when Tamilselvan, 35, of Arumbakkam was returning home after work. He was stopped near MMDA signal by two men who wanted to hire the cab.

CHENNAI: The Arumbakkam police have launched a hunt for two men who attacked a cab driver near MMDA here.
The incident happened on Saturday evening when Tamilselvan, 35, of Arumbakkam was returning home after work. He was stopped near MMDA signal by two men who wanted to hire the cab. When Tamilselvan said the booking should be done online, the duo removed the keys of the cab and picked up a quarrel with him.

When Tamilselvan tried to make a call to the police control room, they attacked him and snatched his mobile phone and a wallet containing Rs 4,000. Tamilselvan sustained injuries on his face. The duo fled the spot.
Based on a complaint filed by Tamilselvan, the police registered a case and launched a hunt for the duo.
