Driver flees with Rs 2L and employer’s car

CHENNAI: A driver stole . 2 lakh and employer’s car on Tuesday . Kumar had been employed with Nitin Agarwal , who runs an electrical goods shop on TTK Road in Alwarpet , for nearly 10 years . On Tuesday , Agarwal’s mother sent Kumar on an errand to deliver cash to a relative in Washermenpet . But he did not return . Agarwal then inquired with his relatives in Washermenpet whether the driver had brought any cash . When they responded in the negative , Nitin suspected something fishy . After failing to contact Kumar on his mobile phone , Agarwal lodged a complaint at Teynampet police station . The police registered a case and launched a hunt for the driver .
