Dr S M Balaji elected ICD president

Chennai: Dr S M Balaji, maxillofacial surgeon, Balaji Dental and Craniofacial Hospital, Chennai, has been elected as the president of the International College of Dentists – Section VI (India, Sri Lanka & Nepal) at the 100th Year ICD Annual Convocation and Awards function. The formal installation ceremony was held at the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi, in the presence of Dr Julio Rodriguez, Wisconsin, USA, International President of the ICD alongside distinguished dignitaries, including Padma Shree Dr Digambar Behera, Professor Emeritus, PGI Chandigarh and president, National Academy of Medical Sciences, Prof Dr Kewal Kishan Talwar, cardiologist and former chairman of the Medical Council of India and Dr Mahesh Verma, vice-chancellor, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University of New Delhi, India.
