DMK asks Centre to withdraw new education policy
CHENNAI: DMK MLAs, MPs and district secretaries on Thursday passed a resolution asking the
“The Centre must immediately upload the new education policy on the HRD website. As former chief minister of Tamil Nadu C N Annadurai said, Tamil Nadu must follow only a two-language policy system. There is no space for the three language policy in Tamil Nadu,” said the resolution.
They have accused the Centre of implementing the new education policy without consulting anyone.
The DMK leaders also accused the Centre of providing importance to Sanskrit instead of other languages. The new policy is also trying to bring back hereditary education policy which was scrapped in the state long back after protests, they added.
They passed another resolution asking the Centre to withdraw the environmental impact assessment (EIA) as it is against farmers.
“The EIA provides nod for the Salem-Chennai expressway without consulting with farmers and others who will lose their lands. The meeting condemns the EIA,” said the resolution. They also wanted the Centre to submit the draft EIA before Parliament for debate.
A resolution wanted the party functionaries to observe the second death anniversary of former chief minister M Karunanidhi on August 7 by honouring doctors, nurses, health department workers, policemen and other frontline workers who are involved in Covid-19 relief.
A resolution also praised Stalin for fighting for the sake of reservation for backward and OBC in medical education.

DMK party members own atleast 100s of schools in TN and also in neighboring states. In all of these schools, of course built on corruption monies, they invariably teach Hindi (sanscritised Urdu, offshoot of Invading Persians found Hindustani). Both DMK and ADMK members owned schools should first abolish CBSE and stop Hindi. Hypocritical.Read allPost comment
