Dhoni's biggest quality is composure: Simon Taufel

Former Australian umpire talks about CSK captain
Former Australian umpire Simon Taufel, who was in Chennai recently for the launch of his book 'Finding the Gaps: Transferable Skills to Be the Best You Can Be', interacted with

cricket

enthusiasts here. When he was asked about his on-field experiences with the former Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni, he said, “I certainly respect MS on a number of fronts. He is a very easy captain to work with; he's a very corporative captain. He has a tremendous cricket brain and one of the best technicians I think I have ever seen in the game of cricket along with those like Shane Warne and Darren Lehmann. MS's biggest quality is his composure. He has got this tremendous inner calmness to be confident that he will pull the right string at the right time or press the go button as a batsman in the second half of the innings and see his team through. I have seen some tremendous examples of that. I recall the last IPL final that I did back in 2013. The way that he remained not out in that Chennai innings and led by example when there were difficult circumstances around is one such example.”
