Dayanidhi booked for comment on morphed pic

Chennai: The cybercrime wing of the central crime branch has registered a case against Chennai Central DMK candidate Dayanidhi Maran for criticising PMK’s Sam Paul on social media over a photograph of the latter holding an allegedly morphed image of a liquor bottle. The original image was that of a dumbbell, Sam Paul said.

In a police complaint, Sam Paul said he gave an interview to a newspaper about his of restaurants, gyms and spas. In the photograph, he is seen sitting on a chair and various dishes in front of him on a table. He is also holding a cigarette in the right hand and on his left hand, he has a dumbbell. The miscreants morphed the dumbbell into a liquor bottle and portrayed him in bad light, he said.

Based on his petition, the cybercrime police registered a case.
