Covid-19: Tamil film shootings to be stopped

CHENNAI: With the growing concern over the spread of coronavirus, Film Employees Federation of South India on Monday announced that all scheduled

film shootings

in

Tamil

industry would be stopped on March 19 until further notice.

FEFSI president R K Selvamani told reporters that the organisation had directed that even pre and post production work for films should be stopped.

"We will request the producers of Tamil television serials too to stop the shootings," Selvamani said.

On Sunday, the state government ordered closure of all cinema halls in the border districts of Tamil Nadu, as neighbouring states Karnataka and Kerala reported several
