Special police teams nabbed the culprits from a hideout in Nungambakkam and took them for questioning. Police revealed the names of the arrested as Karthik, Jai alias Jai Kumar, Madhan, Suman, Sankar, Venkatesan and Rajan. The accused admitted to having committed the murder.
