Jyothi filed application for Hosur seat represented by Reddy, who preferred an appeal against the lower court order. “I have done nothing wrong and repose faith in judiciary. My wife was a councillor in Hosur panchayat union for five years beginning 2006 and hold experience in public life,” Reddy told TOI. He said the electors of the constituency would like her to contest and thus the decision. “Anyway, it is upto the high command to decide on her application,” the former minister said.
Elsewhere, North Chennai (East) district secretary R S Rajesh filed papers for Perambur seat represented by P Vetrivel, the close associate of AMMK leader TTV Dhinakaran. “The schemes of Amma will bring us victory and our government continues her legacy,” Rajesh said.
