CHENNAI: The directorate of medical and rural health services has filed a complaint against youtuber Irfan for posting a video of his wife's delivery where he was seen cutting the umbilical cord of his newborn.
Director of Medical Services Dr J Rajamoorthy said he has issued a show cause notice to the city hospital in Sholinganallur under the provisions of the TN Clinical Establishments Act asking the management how they allowed patient attenders to take cameras into a sterile operation theatre.
"We have also complained to the state medical council about the doctor who asked Irfan if he wants to cut the cord. It is the job of a doctor, and it cannot be designated to an attendant," he said. Irfan was asked to remove the post and it is taken down from the channel. He was earlier in trouble for revealing the infant's gender.
