Congress councillor Nanjil Eshwar Prasad in Greater Chennai Corporation dies

CHENNAI : Nanjil Eshwar Prasad, a Congress councillor in Greater Chennai Corporation, died on Thursday due to a chronic illness.
Party members said Prasad, who represented ward 165 (Alandur), was the District Congress Committee president. He was a secondtime councillor.

J M H Assan Maulaana, the Congress’ Velachery MLA, said, “Prasad was aged above 50. He had a chronic illness. "
Chief minister M K Stalin condoled the death of Prasad.
