CHENNAI: The condition of Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa continues to improve and the same line of treatment is being continued, a press release issued by Apollo Hospitals said here on Tuesday.
Jayalalithaa, who was admitted to the hospital on September 22, is on respiratory support. She is being treated with antibiotics and allied clinical measures for her infection.

On Sunday, a team of doctors, including Richard Beale from the UK, had given her antibiotics. On Monday, the hospital had stated that she was on respiratory support and was being treated with antibiotics and allied clinical measures for infection.
The press release on Tuesday, signed by hospital chief operating officer Subbiah Viswanathan, said, "The same line of treatment is being continued, and the chief minister is under close observation by the team of doctors. The chief minister has been advised further stay in the hospital."
