CHENNAI: Clashes broke out between two groups of advocates on the Egmore court premises on Friday afternoon, prompting police to strengthen security measures.

According to Chennai police, the altercation involved members of advocate associations from the Egmore court and the Madras high court, who had a disagreement over a case they were handling.

The dispute escalated into a physical brawl, resulting in injuries to three advocates.

The advocates used furniture to hit one another other during the fight.

Despite the injuries, neither group has filed a police complaint.

Police were questioning both parties before proceeding with legal action.
