Chief secretary orders minor rejig of IAS officers

Chennai: Additional chief secretary to government, K Phanindra Reddy will hold full additional charge of the natural resources department, said an order issued by chief secretary V Irai Anbu. Reddy helms the transport department now.
The state government has effected a minor reshuffle in bureaucracy. Former registrar of cooperative societies, A Shanmuga Sundaram has been posted as commissioner of transport, replacing A Nirmalraj.The government cancelled the previous order posting Shanmuga Sundaram as director of backward classes welfare. Nirmalraj has been posted as director of geology and mining vice J Jayakanthan. Jayakanthan has been posted as commissioner of social welfare and women empowerment, replacing D Rathna who has been posted as director of prohibition and excise. K J Praveen Kumar has been posted as commissioner of Madurai corporation in place of Simranjeet Singh Kahlon, who has been transferred and posted as executive director of Chennai Metrowater. S Balachander has been posted as commissioner of Salem corporation. TNN
