Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa recuperating, responding well to treatment: Apollo Hospital
CHENNAI: Chief minister
J Jayalalithaa has responded well to treatment and has been advised to spend a few more days in the hospital for recuperative treatment, a press release from Apollo Hospitals said on Thursday.
The chief minister was admitted to the private hospital on Greams Road with complaints of fever and dehydration on the night of September 22. Medical bulletins released in the initial days said she was responding well to treatment, and was on a normal diet.
Thursday's bulletin from the hospital came after a gap of three days. "The honourable chief minister, who was admitted in Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road, Chennai, for fever, has responded well to the treatment. Necessary evaluation tests are being carried out.
The honourable chief minister has been advised few days stay in the hospital for recuperative treatment," said the press release, signed by hospital chief operating officer Subbiah Viswanathan.
