. The competition that was held in two categories - Elite and Ordinary - saw participation of 86 people from India, China, Taiwan and Malaysia. The 20km

was held between Munro Statue and Island Grounds.

In the men’s category, Irfan from Kerala won the race. Whereas, racers from Haryana - Devendar Singh and Sandeep Kumar – finished second and third respectively. Among the girls, Soumya from Kerala crossed the finish line first and she was followed by Priyanka from Uttar Pradesh and Raveena from Haryana in the second and third positions. Prizes and certificates to the podium finishers were distributed by Tamil Nadu Sports Secretaries, Dheeraj Kumar (IAS, Principal Secretary, Youth Welfare and Sports Development), Latha (Secretary, Tamil Nadu Athletic Association of India) and CK Valson (Secretary, Athletics Federation of India).
