A Anandraj and A John David from Ambattur and S Raphy Jayakumar, from Ramapuram, were arrested for selling the land to a developer and others.

Following a complaint from the owner of the property V Rajakumari from Choolai in Chennai an investigation revealed that the land was registered by one Adaikalam using forged documents in the name of his sons A Anandraj and A John David in 2001.

They soon sold it to a man in Ramanathapuram who in turn had given it to a developer for construction. The property was also sold to more than 12 people without the knowledge of the owner who lived in Choolai.
