CHENNAI: Two lawyers of Madras high court — senior advocate Abdul Saleem and advocate S Elambharathi — were conferred with Awards for Excellence in the UK-India Legal Corridor on Friday.

The awards were presented by Rajya Sabha member and former Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi.

UKILP is a premier networking platform for senior lawyers from both India and the UK.

The UK-India Legal Partnership (UKILP), under the leadership of London-based lawyer Ajit Mishra, hosted its annual awards ceremony on May 31, at Court Hall No 1 in the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom.

The event was graced by prominent legal figures, including the President of the Law Society of England & Wales, the Chair of the Bar Council of England and Wales, Additional Solicitor General of India S V Raju, along with various General Counsel, Senior Counsel, and King’s Counsel.
