Chennai: Hunt on for teen who hurled crude petrol bomb

CHENNAI: A teenager who was upset over his neighbour picking up a fight with his mother hurled a crude petrol bomb at her house in Semmencherry on Friday.

Police said Vinitha, 29, of Semmencherry Tsunami quarters, had borrowed an LPG cylinder from Priya, her neighbour, a month ago.

On Thursday night, the LPG cylinder at Vinitha's house got over, and she sent her brother Shiva to get the cylinder.

Priya's 17-year-old son picked up a fight and chased Shiva away. Later he hurled a crude petrol bomb at Vinitha's home.

The bomb damaged the wall of her house and some bikes parked outside.

A hunt is on for Priya's son.
