Chennai: Fisherman missing after boat capsizes in mid-sea

from Kottivakkam Kuppam rushed into the sea in four fishing boats in search of the missing Janakiraman, a resident of Muthalamman Koil Street in Kottivakkam Kuppam. Coastal Security Guard-CID police and Indian Coast Guard officials have also ventured into the sea to trace Janakiraman.

The boat capsized after they travelled for about 30 minutes into the sea. Due to the rough weather, the boat capsized. Though the three who were rescued, returned to the shores thinking that Janakiraman too had been saved, they realized later that he was missing. The fishing hamlet heads alerted fisheries department also in their bid to trace the missing fisherman.

Police said Janakiraman is survived by his wife and two girl children and they are studying in the school nearby.
