Chennai Corporation holds farewell ceremony for retiring teachers

CHENNAI: The Greater Chennai Corporation on Saturday held a farewell ceremony for 125 school education staff members, some of who retired in the 2022-23 academic year and some others who will be retiring soon.

At a function in Amma Maligai, mayor R Priya honoured them. They included headmasters, teachers and office staff members.

Deputy mayor Mahesh Kumar, corporation commissioner Gagandeep Singh Bedi, education standing committee head D Vishwanathan, deputy commissioner for education Sharanya Ari were present.
