Bus burning: Insured loss minimum Rs 10 crore
CHENNAI: The burning of private buses in the Bengaluru riots will result in a minimum insured loss of 10 crore, but it could be much higher, said officials of
"We have not yet sent our surveyors out on the field, as section 144 has been imposed. In another two days, we ought to have a better idea as to the loss," said United India officials. As to the few state-owned buses of the Tamil Nadu transport corporations that were burnt, they are covered under the state-run insurance funds. Since the insurance pool is inadequately funded, the loss is likely to be borne in entirety by SETC.

I am from Karnataka but i am touched by the KPN bus burning case. What is the reason behind burning? Those people who burnt should be caught immediately and necessary steps should be taken to confiscated their assets as a compensation to KPN. At the same time i think there is a chance of business rivals behind it. All these are created by some organizations who are unemployed and try their level best to make gains during this type of situation. Will burning buses will give justice to Karnataka?? All these are created by politicians who try to divide the society and try to get power. We are one hope that KPN will bounce back and my feelings are with the KP Natrajan may god give him energy to withstand this.......Read allPost comment
