Burglars take away Rs 5 lakh worth mobile phones, Rs 1.25 lakh cash from shop

CHENNAI: Unidentified men broke into a mobile shop and made away with Rs 5 lakh worth mobiles and Rs 1.25 lakh in cash at Kodungaiyur on Saturday.
The theft came to light when the shop owner came to open the shop on Sunday morning.
The burglars broke open the shutter using a crow bar and entered the shop. Nagoor Meeran runs the mobile shop on Meenambal Salai in Kodungaiyur.
The culprits bundled the cash and escaped. Based on the complaint of the shop owner, Kodungaiyur police have registered a case and launched a hunt for the accused.
