Boy among three injured as wall collapses in TN’s Vaniyambadi
VELLORE: An 11-year-old boy and two street vendors sustained injuries on Wednesday when a compound wall collapsed after an earthmover being operated in a private property at Kadherpet in Vaniyambadi accidentally rammed it.
The private property, a vacant land, is owned by a local businessman named Vishwanathan. The owner, who was planning to construct a building on his land, built a compound wall.
The incident took place when earthmover driver Dhakshanamoorthy, 28, accidentally rammed the five-foot wall.

The wall collapsed leaving Arjun 24, Sekar, 50, and his son Nithish, 11, injured. The vendors were selling vegetables at the location.
They were rushed to Vaniyambadi Government Hospital. Nithish, who sustained severe injuries, was referred to Government Vellore Medical College and Hospital.
According to police, the boy came to the spot with lunch for his father.
