KRISHNAGIRI: A 13-year-old boy was abducted and stabbed to death on Wednesday night near Anchetty in Krishnagiri district by two young men who feared he would tell others that he saw one of them having sex with a woman in a secluded place in the area on Tuesday evening, police said.The boy, S Rohith of Mavanatti village, did not go to school on Wednesday as he was unwell. Around 4pm, he went to play cricket with friends but did not return home. After a hectic search, his parents, Sivaraj and Manjula, lodged a complaint with Anchetty police around 8pm. On checking CCTV camera footage in the area, police found two men abducting the boy in a car. Hosur ASP Anil Akshay Wakhare said police intensified their search for Rohith then.Early on Thursday, Rohit’s body was found near a drinking water tank in the Thirumodukku Kilpallam forest area along the Denkanikottai-Anchetty ghat road. Rohit’s relatives refused to allow the body to be taken for autopsy and blocked the Denkanikottai-Anchetty ghat road, demanding action against police for not acting despite the parents lodging a complaint. They blocked the road from 10am to 4.30pm.Based on CCTV camera footage police arrested Madhevan, 21, son of Puttannan from Mavanatti, and Madheva, 22, son of Marappan from Ulusanapalli in Karnataka.
Police said Rohit had witnessed Madhevan having sex with a 20-year-old woman in their area on Tuesday night. Fearing Rohith would disclose this to others, Madhevan and his friend Madheva murdered the boy.“On Wednesday evening, they abducted Rohith in a car and forced beer down his throat, causing him to lose consciousness,” a police officer said. The duo took him to Thirumodukku Kilpallam forest area, where they stabbed him to death with a knife. They later dumped the body into a 50-foot gorge.
