CHENNAI: BJP candidate in Anna Nagar K Suresh was admitted to hospital after he was allegedly attacked by a group AIADMK cadres on Friday night.

In his complaint to the Election Commission, Suresh said he and his supporters saw a group AIADMK men distributing money to voters at Vinayagapuram around 7.30pm on Friday. When the BJP men confronted them, the alleged AIADMK men assaulted them.

Suresh, who suffered injuries in the attack, was admitted to the Kilpauk Medical College Hospital for treatment.

In a statement, state BJP chief Tamilisai Soundararajan condemned the attack and money distribution.

It is an insult to the pride of Tamils. Vote for money and vote for getting something ''Free". Now who will want to do more work . Just do very few work, earn very little” which is enough to eat, sleep and go to toilet. Can the Govt be able to keep up such free offers for a long time? Just think! <br/>Where will Government get money to do these free offers? They will have to find another method by way of more tax on other things to make up this huge loss. Now with a promise to liquor prohibition the Govt is going to loss a huge revenue . One day farmers will be feel lazy and stop producing, since they also expect free meal. Otherwise, Farmers will ask Govt to pay more for their products forcing the Govt suffering heavy loss. Surely at some point of time this '' free free free “wild goose chase will burst very badly .What will happen then ? Parties, only to just to get power by offering so much of free things will lead to anarchy in society, creating lazy people and total breakdown of society . Once it happen , there will be no more free and no more work , no more food .
