BIS Chennai conducts jeweller awareness programme

CHENNAI: The Chennai branch office of the Bureau of Indian Standards conducted a jeweller awareness programme on Sunday.

The training and awareness programme was conducted in Vantage hall in the city and was attended by 82 participants. The drive was focused on highlighting mandatory ISI marks on jewels and quality of it.

H M Sultan Mohideen, president of Chennai Jewellers Association, delivered the welcome address. G Bhavani, scientist-E/director and head(Chennai branch office) delivered the inaugural address and programme objectives. The technical presentation was made by Dhinesh Rajagopalan, scientist – C/deputy director.
