Arun Roy new TN industries secretary

Chennai: In the run-up to the Global Investors Meet (GIM) in January 2024, the state government on Friday notified the appointment of Arun Roy V as the new industries secretary. He succeeds S Krishnan, who will move to the Centre as secretary in the ministry of electronics and information technology.
Roy, a 2003 batch IAS officer who is currently secretary of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), spent the majority of his 20-year career in various positions including deputy secretary to finance department and MD of Metrowater. In July, he was appointed special officer for GIM 2024.
