Chennai: Left-arm spinner Ajith Ram was the standout performer for Globe Trotters in their TNCA first division encounter against UFCC (T Nagar) here on Monday. In a low-scoring encounter, UFCC were dismissed for 87 with Ajith taking 4-31.
In reply, Globe Trotters managed to score 134, taking a 47-run first-innings lead. For the bowling side, left-arm spinner Dharmendra Jadeja shone with figures of 6 for 53. In UFCC’s second innings, Ajith (6 for 25) was the wrecker-in-chief as he left the side tottering at 43 for 9.
In another match, left-arm spinner Mohan Prasath led the bowling charts with 5-41 as Jolly Rovers bowled out MRC ‘A’ for 182 in the first innings. In reply, Jolly Rovers were 139 for 1 at stumps.
