Actor Aruldoss hurt at ‘Kaala’ shooting

Chennai: Cinematographer turned actor Aruldoss A Arockiadoss suffered minor fractures after a jeep ran over one of his legs at the shooting of Rajini-starrer ‘Kaala’ at Poonamallee on Wednesday.

Doctors diagnosed a minor fractures at three fingers of his leg and advised rest.

The crew members told police that Aruldoss didn’t notice a speeding van approaching him and the vehicle ran over his left leg, leaving his three leg fingers injured.

A paramedic at the shooting spot immediately attended to him. Later the actor was taken to a nearby private hospital.

The movie shooting is being held at the EVP world at Nazerethpet. Director Pa Ranjith has created a set that looks like Mumbai’s Dharavi.

Aruldoss has acted in ‘Naan Mahan Alla’, ‘Papanasam’, ‘Neer Paravai’, ‘Soodhu Kavvum’, ‘Chathriyan’ and many other movies.

He started his career as a cinematographer and then switched on to acting specially in roles of villains. tnn
