6th Chennai International Documentary and short film fest to begin on April 15

and short film festival 2018 will begin with a retrospective to Sukhdev and his woks on April 15.

At least 50 films will be screened in the four-day festival to be held at Goethe Institute and

Max Mueller Bhavan

in the city from April 15 to 19. The retrospective sessions include

Sanjay Maharishi

, filmmaker (New Delhi), filmmaker in focus : Bernd Lutzeler (Germany), Shazia Khan (Kashmir).

The “PARADIGM NON SHIFT” will have films of veterans like Robert Bresson, Mani Kaul, Amit Dutta curated and presented by Amrit Gangar, writer-historian. There will be a “Films from Tamil Nadu” session to screen some of the most experimental films released in Tamil so far.
