6 TN MPs take oath in Rajya Sabha

Chennai: Six MPs from Tamil Nadu took oath as Rajya Sabha members on Monday.

Three were old faces: AIADMK MP M Thambidurai, PMK MP Anbumani Ramadoss and DMK MP Trichy Siva. Congress MP Christopher Manickam, DMK MP Constantine Ravindran and DMDK MP L K Sudhish are new. While Siva, Anbumani and Constantine Ravindran took oath in the name of values, Thambidurai, Sudhish and Christopher Manickam took oath in the name of God.

When Sudhish was asked to take oath, he went with his party shawl, and Vice-President C P Radhakrishnan asked him remove the shawl. Sudhish displayed the picture of the late DMDK founder Vijayakant to the entire house. TNN
