Tamil Nadu: 47-year-old rowdy found hanging

CHENNAI: A 47-year-old

involved in two murders and six other cases in Villupuram committed suicide by hanging at his rented house in Old Washermenpet on Friday.

Police said P Boobalan of Kuilapalayam near Auroville stayed with his wife Sonia and children in the house and ran an eatery in the locality. Police said the reason for Boobalan’s suicide is not known.

Initial inquiries revealed that Boobalan had reformed and stayed away from a life of crime for three years. His body was taken to Stanley Government Hospital for autopsy.
