Three men die in road accident near Hosur while returning to TN to cast their votes
KRISHNAGIRI: Three men died and another man suffered serious injuries after a car they were traveling in collided with a private omnibus near Hosur in Krishnagiri in the early hours of Wednesday. The deceased have been identified as Veeramani, 25, Pradeep, 25, and Mari, 24. Satheesh Kumar, 25, who suffered injuries in the accident, was admitted to Hosur Government Hospital. All were from Sigaralli village near Pennagaram in Dharmapuri district. The accident occurred in the Sanamavu forest area around 4am while the four men, staying in Bengaluru, were returning to their native place in Dharmapuri district to cast their votes in the April 23 Tamil Nadu assembly election. "Veeramani, who ran a shop in Bengaluru, and Pradeep and Mari, who worked in shops in Bengaluru, died on the spot," said an officer at the Uddanapalli police station. On being alerted, a team from the Uddanapalli station reached the spot, retrieved the bodies and sent them for postmortem. A case was registered and investigations were under way to determine the cause of the accident.
