25 cops from Tamil Nadu get President's Police Medal

Senior IPS officers Amaresh Pujari and Sandeep Rai Rathore and 23 other police officers, four fire personnel and three home guard personnel are among those who have been chosen for the President’s Police Medal for their meritorious services in the uniformed services.

CHENNAI: Senior IPS officers Amaresh Pujari and Sandeep Rai Rathore and 23 other police officers, four fire personnel and three home guard personnel are among those who have been chosen for the President’s Police Medal for their meritorious services in the uniformed services.
Inspector general of police, Tamil Nadu Police Academy (TNPA) Amaresh Pujari, inspector general of police of the National Disaster Response Force and Civil Defence Sandeep Rai Rathore and deputy superintendent of police of the vigilance and anti-corruption C Sudarsan have been selected for the President’s Police Medal for their distinguished services.
At least 22 police officers have got the police medal for their meritorious services in the uniformed services. Deputy inspector general of police (DIG) of Madurai Anand Kumar Somani, superintendent of police (SP) of the Tamil Commando School in Chennai N T Ramesh, Commandant of the Tamil Nadu special police IX Battalion in Manimuthar D Jayavel, additional superintendent of police (ADSP), prohibition enforcement wing in Madurai T Mariappan, ADSP, police training college, V R Ghajendrakumar, ADSP, special division special investigation unit, K Babu, ADSP, Tiruchi T K Natarajan, deputy superintendent of police (DSP) of Kangeyam sub division, M Suruliraja, DSP of Namakkal K Manoharan, assistant commissioner of police, central crime branch in Madurai, P Jesu Jayapaul, DSP, DV&AC, Krishnagiri S Gunasekaran, DSP, DV&AC, Chennai G Anguchamy, DSP, DV&AC, Tiruchi A Ulaganathan, DSP, Thanjavur town, M Tamil Selvan, assistant commandant of the TSP VII Battalion in Pochampalli G Aruchamy, Inspectors of police T Rangasamy, C Sivanarul, A Sekar, S Natarajan, B Sankar Lal, P Appan and sub-inspector of police G Ezhilraj.
President’s fire service medal for gallantry have been awarded to fire service joint director S Vijayasekar, fire station officer Muthiah Thiyagarajan, leading fire man Kalathil House Vilvathirinathan and driver Jebamalai Kulandairaj.
President’s home guards and civil defence medal for gallantry have been awarded to home guard company commanders Raman Lingaraj S Thillai Natarajan and home guard area commander Chandran R Chitra.
